Anne launched Tangoleva in 1999 as a quest for presenting not only the perfect tango dress, but the perfect ensemble, that could be worn for both tango dancing or a dinner out.  She had thought  how many of us have  found it difficult trying to get dressed for a restaurant AND a Milonga!  Is the slit in that skirt too high in that red tango dress for the restaurant part of the evening?

 

Tangoleva's original concept was based on finding great fashion that works well for Tango, Salsa and Ballroom dancing; that can be worn on the street, at the office, to evening events, as well as classes and milongas. Fashion you can dance in and wear for all your other activities. Following are descriptions of our two lines.

 

TANGOLEVA SIGNATURE LINE     Not everything wonderful for tango can be found in the market, so we have developed our own line, designed and produced by Tangoleva.   Especially designed for dancing, the club, ballroom, event hall, salon or just a lesson or night out... our clothing uses primarily stretch fabrics, focusing on movement, slits in the right places, interesting back details and hem treatments. All of our Tangoleva Private Label pieces are made one at a time, locally in One of the Most Magical and Artsy places in the world Santa Fe, New Mexico. We hesitate in saying 'hand made', as that would mean no machines at all - and we do use sewing machines! These pieces are designated on the item number by the letters " TL".

TANGOLEVA PARTNER     Our partner collection is a curated presentation consisting of reasonably priced dresses, skirts, tops, pants and accessories. We work with a variety of US manufacturers to find pieces that are great to dance in and make your fashion statement. The fabrics are mostly stretch fabrics, comfortable, allowing freedom of movement, easy care and wrinkle free. Sizing of the garments can vary greatly, depending on the manufacturer, so we encourage customers to call or email us with their measurements: Bust, Waist and Hip (approximately 7" or 18cm below the waist). We carry a limited amount of stock on most of these items. Styles go fast and sizes are limited. Please contact us and one of our staff can guide you on the styles that run small or large, etc.
